Better than google ?
With the release of Microsoft`s new search engine a big revolution in the way we do research in internet may be happening. Why that? Because Microsoft is more than ever disputing the search market with Google. After one of the strongest signals off hardening the dispute in the Internet market in 2008 with the development of a deal with Yahoo, now Microsoft is fighting on fields where the enemy initially take large advantage.
Microsoft promises that the release of Bing (it’s new search engine) will change the way we search in internet and that Bing isn’t just another search engine, they say in their official website :
“Bing is specifically designed to build on the benefits of today’s search engines but begins to move beyond this experience with a new approach to user experience and intuitive tools to help customers make better decisions, focusing initially on four key vertical areas: making a purchase decision, planning a trip, researching a health condition or finding a local business.”
Also, Microsoft knows that is not gonna be a easy battle to convert Bing in the first (and maybe second) reference in web search. In the words of it’s CEO (Steve Ballmer) :
“Microsoft knows perfectly well that it’s going to take it “years and years and years” (in Steve Ballmer’s words) to get anywhere in search”
Moreover, Bing has already some advantages compared to Google like Search History feature, which keeps a list of 
your previous searches down the left hand side, although it’s very simple is also very good. However, Bing is still a incomplete beta and hasn’t enough capacity to beat his biggest oponent, yet.
Therefore, Google still the number one in search (not only because people are used to it, but also because it still the better search engine you can find) and Microsoft will have a lot of work in order to improve it’s search engine. One of them is to take over Yahoo first if they really want to have any chance to defeat Google and turn Bing in something better than what is Google today.
